Optometrist Education Evening at Sydney Ophthalmic Specialists
On Tuesday 25th August 2015, Sydney Ophthalmic Specialists hosted an education evening for optometrists. The evening was an optometry CPD points update in paediatric ophthalmology, strabismus, cataracts, retina, oculo-plastics and neuro-ophthalmology. It was a wonderful evening at our Macquarie street Sydney rooms, with 47 optometrists in attendance.
All seven of our SOS ophthalmologists provided inspiring presentations, providing attendees with up to date knowledge on a broad range of topics in ophthalmology.
Dr Frank Martin and Dr Craig Donaldson provided a lively case-based discussion on adult strabismus and strabismus in childhood. An update on amblyopia treatment was presented by Dr Caroline Catt. Our Neuro-Ophthalmologist Dr Clare Fraser gave an insight into the complex world of third nerve palsies. Dr Daniel Polya enlightened us on retinal emergencies, and Dr Peter Martin shared some pearls of the aging eye and the watery eye. Dr Michael Jones gave an interesting presentation on pre-operative and post-operative cataract care.
